Self-intersection numbers of closed geodesics in infinite volume hyperbolic spaces, with professor Xin Zhang, UIUC
•Translated the algorithm computing the self-intersection number of curves by word length to its geometry length to Python code on the model “pair of pants”, which is an infinite surface with three holes, so that the curves are numerical to compute.
•Developed an open house presentation through posters with two other undergraduates on self- intersection numbers on pair of pants model, leading to a highly-valued commentary by the guests.

Visual Cliffs, Virtual Reality, and Movement Disorders, with professor Richard Sowers , UIUC
•Made the Python script to do the independent component analysis, which can be used to analyze the real time signal.
•Created power spectrum using Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT), so that our team can get rid of the AUX signals and set the lower bound to be 1
